Carolyn, we never know what God has planned for us, so often we seem to wonder "what am I suppose to do or be", clearly God has touched you with a special gift. A gift of love, compassion, and faith, continue to let God work thru you to help those in need by enlightening them with your beautiful words. Always remember, you not only have Him but your Angel Mom in Heaven. God Bless, Jacque and Julius Banks

Hi Carolyn, I haven't met you personally yet but I look forward to meeting you and reading your poetry. Your story is heartbreaking. Your life inspirational. Domestic violence is unacceptable. I was blessed to grew up in a household where I never heard my father raise his voice, not place his hands on my mother in a hateful manner. Verbal, mental, and physcial abuse should be talked about at more venues.

Sis I love all your poems, and I'm so proud of you. The tragic life of our childhood is always on my mind. people need to know that its starts with a slap or punch, and the saying of It will never happen again, which is a lie as long as you put up with it. It will happen again until someone ends up dead. Don't stay in an abusive relationship for the kids sake. I think that's what happen to our mother.
